Devoured by Flame

Devotional Polytheism, Mysticism, Loki and more

July for Loki – Days 15 and 16

Hail to He of the gentle hearth that warms the winter nights, whose flames lick the air above and give life to those around.

Hail to He of the children, innocent and joyful, He whose fury resounds in revenge of them, whose shakes and cries serve as a warning.

Hail to He, arm-burden of Sigyn, His beloved Wife, whose compassion and strength held Ragnarok at bay, whose tearful nights and shaking arms, and He who is deserving of such devout love, painful though it may be.

Hail to He, the Silver-tongued sly God, whose words are weapons and tools and ammunition to both fan the fires of truth and passion and quell the flame of needless destruction.

Hail to He, way opener, Who unlocks such doors to those who seek them and shuts the ones that do not show the way forward with compassion and patience.

Hail to He, speaker of truth, Whose honesty knows no bounds, Whose blunt words cut like knives, Whose never once broken an oath even as those around Him do.

Hail to He, shapeshifter, wearer of many faces, lover of the liminal, Whose feet land on two sides, joining many worlds into one, Who gives welcome to Those who are lost and hidden, bringing them front and center, Who sees a million perspectives and meets people where they are.

Hail to Loki, lover of love, giver of blood, fury, and passion. Loki, God of many and God of none, God of the paradox and God of the puzzle.

Loki, God of the many knots and plot twists and God of the stories. God of the familial hearth and well-being, relationship forger and breaker, giver of many gifts.

Hail to Loki who wears many faces, hats, and stories, yet somehow remains to be nothing but Himself.

Mold this world to Your liking, push the board pieces where they should go and play the giant game of chess, cleverest of Gods, as you pull the wool over the eyes of those who cannot see the way, who do not know Their own truth and authenticity.

Hail to Loki. Hail.

I didn’t like the prompts for these days so I chose this instead.
