7 July: What colours/smells/animals do you personally associate with Loki? Do these line up with what you see on other people’s blogs? How does that make you feel?
I don’t think I have very many creative associations when it comes to Loki.
In regards to animals, it’s nothing new. Foxes, spiders, snakes, and vultures.
Smells? Anything earthy that isn’t super masculine. He also classically shows up as cinnamon, of course, and then also white birch I have found to be quite fragrant in regards to Himself.
And colors – I don’t know. Just when I think I have a color nailed down, it’s always changing.
Like, I think of blues for His aspect as Lopt (sky-treader). Reds as His vibrant, passionate aspect and creation aspect. Deep greens for His more Jotun/force of nature aspect. Earthy colors in general as well as warm neutrals seem to be His personal preferences to me.
And as for whether my opinions line up with others? I couldn’t give two less shits. You do you, boo. I feel like I’ve arrived at the point in my path where I have seen a good lot of Loki’s faces and aspects and have a fair assertion of how I see Him, and few people – read: none – could talk me down from it or convince me otherwise.
