12 July: What are some charitable organisations that you think Loki would be a member of? Would you like to be/are you a member of any of them? Why or why not?
Probably anything that has to do with kids. I feel like he would be on the front lines at the border for children who are separated from their parents because of DHS.
This question made me think of literally… everything in this world that affect children as of late, especially all of the anti-trans legislation and “don’t say gay” shit that’s also in public schools. I have contemplated using my Etsy store to give to these organizations that assist with helping trans children and provide resources for parents. I feel like that’s what Loki would want – I feel like that’s a strong emotional situation for him.
Additionally, Loki would be anything that is anti-establishment. I’m thinking anything that is “radical” or uncomfortable for the bigots that are imposing on our democracy. I don’t know if he’d so much be apart of charitable organizations as he would be part of causes in general. I just think of the new Spider-Man movie with the British punk Spider-Man. That’s… fairly Loki.
Also, animals. I think he has a soft spot for animals of any kind. I don’t know of anything specific but maybe even just a rescue.
The only organization I’m a member of right now is the Human Rights Campaign. I once unionized my Starbucks and contemplated working for the union but that got trashed the moment I realized I’d only be going from one toxic environment to another. Not to mention the daily panic attacks. Change is hard and necessary, but it is hard.
Kudos to literally anyone on the front lines of any of this. I’ll be resilient enough one day.
